Someday

Found this in one of my notebooks, the date says 12/24/09.

Sweet and gentle tears sleep down her cheeks as she looks to heaven.
Knowing that someday.
Someday.
Someday that little girl who had a beginning but never made it to the end
Will meet her mommy.
Someday the tears that fell on her behalf will be wiped away.
Someday holding her tight will be an option, along with seeing her face,
Holding her hand, and touching her skin.
There has to be a reason for all these some days,
And someday that reason will be found out.
But until then things have to be set aside till that someday comes.
For one day it will.

Dandelion

Such a blue sky is spreading over me
With open my arms I’ll go to meet you
Dandelions are in bloom here and there
I picked and sowed the seeds last year
Murmuring “Nothing comes of nothing’”.

Each springs with white top.
Shaken off by hands unseen.
Wanders by each lofty  face.
Places in wind it needs to show.
Floating across each leaf.
Beside waters shy and still.
Willow branches they hang in grace.
With a gentle sigh they hold out light,
and lay me gently down to grow.
